Abel Reyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abel Reyes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Reyes having to make a save. In the 17th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 24th minute of play forced C.A.P.J.'s goalkeeper Abel Reyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Abel Reyes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. With an all-out effort, C.A.P.J.'s Dante Lacasa threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eliseo Cresenciano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafin Criston stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abel Reyes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 51st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Abel Reyes however easily saved by the left post. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Karmel in the 61st minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Abel Reyes made a huge save. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Reyes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafin Criston in the 70th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Liu Feng Jing kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafin Criston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.A.P.J. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mexico had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
