The audience thought a goal was coming when 吴昂剑 got free with Jacobo Nores in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 柯威骏 hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 鲁烽然 struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 吉林辽源太空人. 鲁烽然 who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Jacobo Nores when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 吴昂剑 received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jacobo Nores came out and tried to block the shot, but 吴昂剑 slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 34th minute. Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by 柯勇坚 in the 38 minute of the game. 姚冰挺 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 鲁烽然 to make the kick off. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 鲁烽然, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The 吉林辽源太空人 fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when 吉林辽源太空人's 鲁烽然 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 3-0 when 鲁烽然 sped through Paraguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 鲁烽然's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. 鲁烽然 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. The throw-in from 罗建霆 in the 72nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Paraguay's Xavier Zoido. 80 minutes into the match, 鲁烽然 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 鲁烽然 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After a rather tough play, 吉林辽源太空人's 陶弘诚 got a free kick in the 90th minute. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, 吴昂剑 put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jacobo Nores. 吉林辽源太空人's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
