The supporters of Beltrán City FC booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Villa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Arturo Rolado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Arturo Rolado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Arturo Rolado fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beltrán City FC's protests and gave Arturo Rolado a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, Beltrán City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Rolado to maneuver through the defense. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 16th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquiles Gerazan hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Christian Sancho hit a great ball. Honduras's Moises Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Alberto Sarracino managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Beltrán City FC fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Beltrán City FC's Leandro Gasteiz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Alberto Sarracino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Sarracino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Leandro Gasteiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Rolado in the 41st minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Edmundo Espiga got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Esteban Carvallo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Alberto Sarracino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. After 52nd play minutes Edmundo Espiga shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Alberto Sarracino and just under the crossbar into goal. Christian Sancho made in the 57th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luca Espinar however managed to control. In the 62nd minute Arturo Rolado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Sarracino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 67th minute of play. Beltrán City FC's Baltasar Eutropio was substituted for Jonathan Maldonado. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Alberto Sarracino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baltasar Eutropio kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Alberto Sarracino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Leandro Gasteiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Beltrán City FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them.
