After a defensive mix-up in Los Linyeras's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Sayveon came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teo Veto's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teo Veto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teo Veto in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 86thth minute of the game Teo Veto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Teo Veto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Rigoberto Mina's late challenge caught a Los Linyeras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Mina helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Los Linyeras booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Los Linyeras's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
