Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mariano Lacasa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Anton Vibjörnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Alberto Tevez got free with Thiago Pliego in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 7th minute of play. Fredric Melander blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thiago Pliego having to make a save. Pål Sefastsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Felix Garrido hit a great ball. Carlos Alberto Tevez struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for National Team Cape-Verde. In the 15th minute of the match Chile got a corner. National Team Cape-Verde's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Chile's Mariano Lacasa to fire away a dangerous shot which Pål Sefastsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Carlos Alberto Tevez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thiago Pliego didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 21st minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Felix Garrido hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 26thth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos Alberto Tevez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. In the 29th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Sefastsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, National Team Cape-Verde's Carlos Alberto Tevez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pål Sefastsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. When Chile's Mariano Lacasa in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye National Team Cape-Verde's goalie prevented a goal. Pål Sefastsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

National Team Cape-Verde made a substitution. Bennvar Post replaced Carlos Alberto Tevez. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bennvar Post was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in National Team Cape-Verde's zone, Mariano Lacasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pål Sefastsson came out of the goal and Mariano Lacasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bennvar Post in the 54th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Chile defense, Bennvar Post kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 60th minute of play forced National Team Cape-Verde's goalkeeper Pål Sefastsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cris Montoia during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cris Montoia hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. National Team Cape-Verde were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leon Fasgar took the corner. Leon Fasgar made a great header on National Team Cape-Verde's corner, it was just that Chile's Thiago Pliego managed to reach the ball for a save. 68 minutes into the match, National Team Cape-Verde's goalkeeper Pål Sefastsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Pål Sefastsson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind National Team Cape-Verde's goalkeeper Pål Sefastsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roland Björklund hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bennvar Post in the 84th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pål Sefastsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 87th minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pål Sefastsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. The National Team Cape-Verde support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
