But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Herrera couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Textex having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luis Herrera made a kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Chan Cho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chan Cho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Richard Textex was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Patricio Costa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Patricio Costa really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastián Ríos in the 95th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC.
