The supporters of Venezuela booed when El Cementerio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximo Sauveur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonzo Blanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Felippe Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Alonzo Blanco managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Cementerio's supporters rose to their feet, but Alonzo Blanco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Blanco in the 43rd minute of play. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Silvestre Urre made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alonzo Blanco in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Eusebio Piorno hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. El Cementerio's Felippe Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 68th minute of play. After having played for 70 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
