Maximiliano Escribano scored 1-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredão de Medeiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredão de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Sandinense ADF's Alfredão de Medeiros. Alfredão de Medeiros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Maximiliano Escribano came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Escribano couldn't finish the play. Alfredão de Medeiros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Seco went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. After 42 minutes, Simão Mesquita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sandinense ADF and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredão de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gildo Valle hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.

Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisco Seco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Francisco Seco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alfredão de Medeiros. That made the score 1-8 in the 78 minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Maximiliano Escribano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-9. In the 87th minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfredão de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 90th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Alfredão de Medeiros in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maximiliano Escribano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Alfredão de Medeiros made a huge save. Uruguay's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
