Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mariano Lacasa started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Chile booed when S.C. Corinthians Paulista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zheng Chao Rong didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Johannes Kruuse slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thiago Pliego. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Valdecir Carlos got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 11 played minutes S.C. Corinthians Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Zheng Chao Rong. 14 minutes into the match, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Johannes Kruuse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When S.C. Johannes Kruuse's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Fırat Aytekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chile's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mariano Lacasa in the 41st minute. The corner ended in Xavier Figueroa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Fırat Aytekin did a great save. 44 minutes into the game, Johannes Kruuse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Thiago Pliego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Johannes Kruuse to make the kick off. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Fırat Aytekin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save S.C. Corinthians Paulista from getting a goal against them. After 53 minutes S.C. Corinthians Paulista's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. Xavier Figueroa was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Johannes Kruuse's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. If Johannes Kruuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the S.C. Corinthians Paulista defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fırat Aytekin. The S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fırat Aytekin should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute, Zheng Chao Rong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fırat Aytekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 67th minute of play. Valdecir Carlos hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the match, Evandro Trancoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evandro Trancoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. In the 84th minute, Evandro Trancoso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Trancoso in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute of the match S.C. Corinthians Paulista got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ciro da Silveira ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evandro Trancoso in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. After 93 minutes Chile's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ciro da Silveira who took care of the corner kick.
