It was Axel Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. 35 minutes into the match, Stat Veritas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Mauricio Erramun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 played minutes Stat Veritas FC got a freekick which was hit by Glauco Sarmento. The supporters of Colombia booed when Stat Veritas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reto Knobel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute of the match Axel Montenegro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauricio Erramun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 39 played minutes Axel Montenegro shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Stat Veritas FC's Mauricio Erramun to catch but Axel Montenegro was lucky. It became 2-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Glauco Sarmento was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Stat Veritas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! Mauricio Erramun had in the 45thth minute some difficulties stopping Axel Montenegro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the Stat Veritas FC defense, Axel Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauricio Erramun. The Stat Veritas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauricio Erramun should have stopped the shot. Colombia's Axel Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adolfo Fresco to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Mauricio Erramun in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 55 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Stat Veritas FC's Mauricio Erramun. Mauricio Erramun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stat Veritas FC made a substitution. Fernando Dantae replaced Ciriaco Tanio. In the 70th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Garrido to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute Ignacio Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Erramun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wincent Lizewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stat Veritas FC's Mauricio Erramun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Secada in the 83rd minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Stat Veritas FC's goalkeeper Mauricio Erramun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascual Carballar. In the 91st minute, Wincent Lizewski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Mauricio Erramun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kevin Mastache went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Colombia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
