In the 15th minute Wiliam Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute of the match Atlético Capixaba got a corner. El Salvador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Shi Tian Kuan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Atlético Capixaba's Shi Tian Kuan to fire away a dangerous shot which Ricardo Zorita despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Atlético Capixaba's Baltazar Hoffmann got a free kick in the 18th minute. The supporters of Atlético Capixaba booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentino Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute of the match Shi Tian Kuan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Zorita showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Cauan Botelho notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Capixaba's Wiliam Perez. But to his dismay, Wiliam Perez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. If Cauan Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wiliam Perez made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Marco Tamayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 51 minutes, Wiliam Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Capixaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiliam Perez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wiliam Perez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ricardo Zorita came out and tried to block the shot, but Wiliam Perez slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 53rd minute. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 81st match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Leguizamo to maneuver through the defense. Jesus Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faustão Sá. In the 92nd minute, Fu Jun Feng left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Capixaba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. When the final whistle sounded Atlético Capixaba left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than El Salvador.
