Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 6th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Bertol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Bertol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of play. Joel Bertol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play forced Rayland FC's goalkeeper Joel Bertol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. Felix Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joel Bertol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. 27 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Endrick de Souza. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Roger Bannister stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Roger Bannister tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 32 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Bertol was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joel Bertol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Joel Bertol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Endrick de Souza. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Joel Bertol in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Endrick de Souza in the 53rd minute of play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roger Bannister in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. With a little luck, Rayland FC's Joel Bertol got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roger Bannister received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Joel Bertol made a huge save. After having played for 66 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Roger Bannister made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of play forced Rayland FC's goalkeeper Joel Bertol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 90th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joel Bertol was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 92 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Endrick de Souza came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Eloi Bermudo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rayland FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After 93 played minutes Rayland FC got a freekick which was hit by Eloi Bermudo. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Rayland FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
