Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mehat Kovaçi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Angel Morales managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cougars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Angel Morales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mehat Kovaçi in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 24th minute of the match Cougars FC got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angel Morales ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Jannic De Vreese got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-3. 24 minutes into the match. Mehat Kovaçi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Cougars FC's Leonel Solo got a free kick in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the match, Mehat Kovaçi notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehat Kovaçi in the 38th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Wladimir Herrera sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Mehat Kovaçi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mehat Kovaçi to strike the kick off in the second half. Mehat Kovaçi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 57 minutes into the match, Cougars FC's Mehat Kovaçi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 64 minutes of play, Cougars FC's Mehat Kovaçi made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Mehat Kovaçi came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Cougars FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehat Kovaçi couldn't finish the play. Cougars FC made a substitution. Steffen Gimlinge replaced Mehat Kovaçi. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Steffen Gimlinge in the 75th minute. Steffen Gimlinge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Steffen Gimlinge received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Steffen Gimlinge slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 80th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Steffen Gimlinge dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 0-7. Steffen Gimlinge scored 0-8 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cougars FC played a much better game than Venezuela and deserved their victory. The Venezuela players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
