After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Gustavo Gomez Blanco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, João Augusto Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, RIBEIRÃO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Angelo Ongile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Andino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Ongile read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after RIBEIRÃO FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. With a little luck, RIBEIRÃO FC's Angelo Ongile got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, RIBEIRÃO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Angelo Ongile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Angelo Ongile made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Angelo Ongile. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. After a rather tough play, RIBEIRÃO FC's Nelson de Lara got a free kick in the 18th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lukáš Modrić in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Liu Shu Jian's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Liu Shu Jian helped the player get up and apologised. 27 minutes into the game, one of RIBEIRÃO FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Angelo Ongile had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Eulalio Peio charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eulalio Peio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes RIBEIRÃO FC got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Peio. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by RIBEIRÃO FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. 36 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Ongile. RIBEIRÃO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Angelo Ongile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilian Seco hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukáš Modrić in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angelo Ongile skillfully saved the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Ongile. RIBEIRÃO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Angelo Ongile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Ongile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Ongile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 72nd minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Lukáš Modrić came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelo Ongile showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Angelo Ongile despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, RIBEIRÃO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Angelo Ongile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, RIBEIRÃO FC's Wilian Seco got a free kick in the 88th minute. Angelo Ongile didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 95th minute of play forced RIBEIRÃO FC's goalkeeper Angelo Ongile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
