Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Santotis came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Santotis in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Heli Monsalve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Santotis came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Modestio Cañucal almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Santotis in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Sporting Chilcano booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Santotis, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. A collision led to Sporting Chilcano getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Modestio Cañucal hit a great ball. Armando Santotis scored 0-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Armando Santotis sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Armando Santotis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Santotis went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Sporting Chilcano's Baiarte Cerdeira was substituted for Asier Abello. Sporting Chilcano's Vladimiro Veguri was substituted for Kevin Justo. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Armando Santotis sent off a good shot on target. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Santotis in the 76th minute of play. Vladimiro Veguri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Santotis in the 82nd minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Armando Santotis notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 90 minutes, Modesto Pita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Chilcano and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes Sporting Chilcano got a freekick which was hit by Modesto Pita. Baiarte Cerdeira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 93rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Armando Santotis took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Sporting Chilcano's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
