Franz Grassme ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 12th minute Ricardo Bochini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cassius Byrne in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aldo Mannie saved Ripa FC from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, Edward Mcdonald notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ripa FC's Aldo Mannie. Aldo Mannie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cassius Byrne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldo Mannie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Ripa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Aldo Mannie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldo Mannie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Ripa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Aldo Mannie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, USA's Koby Fletcher got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute, Koby Fletcher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Cassius Byrne made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as USA's Monty Rogers slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aldo Mannie. That made the score 0-2 after 57 minutes of play. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gu Chang Peng in the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by USA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Placido Pero was slow to take the kick. During this time Ripa FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 62nd match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Moore to maneuver through the defense. Ripa FC made a substitution. Alvaro Jakes replaced Placido Pero. After 64 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Moore. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gu Chang Peng in the 65th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute Gu Chang Peng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gu Chang Peng went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice moves Sam Campbell could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Aldo Mannie however easily saved by the left post. Aldo Mannie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 80th minute of the match. Alvaro Jakes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Day having to make a save. If Alvaro Jakes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Joel Tehas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ripa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Tehas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ripa FC's Aldo Mannie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Ripa FC from getting a goal against them.
