The supporters of Frisia AFC booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Camilo Franco came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camilo Franco couldn't finish the play. Santos Vigil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Cazalla in the 29th minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Sadurni in the 32nd minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luciano Sadurni's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a free kick in the 38th minute. Fernan Gurutz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godfredo Efraim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Godfredo Efraim scored 0-1 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Uruguay players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Frisia AFC were winning 0-1.

Santos Vigil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 53rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Sadurni got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Efraim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santos Vigil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Frisia AFC made a substitution. Abel Txatxu replaced Americo Matia. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Frisia AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santos Vigil was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Francisco Seco might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santos Vigil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Seco ran back to his position shaking his head. After 71 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. Fernan Gurutz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Santos Vigil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 93rd minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Efraim in the 96th minute of play. The Frisia AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
