Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huang Rong in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Huang Rong had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Huang Rong was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 12 minutes Colombia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ulises Dimas who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Golden Generation's corner Ulises Dimas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Manzanares quite easily take care of the ball. After 13 minutes of play, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Turgay Şeren was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the match, Golden Generation's Huang Rong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Golden Generation's Esteban Chaime quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Cazalla, made in the 25th minute of the game. A hard shot 26 in the game by Axel Montenegro from a close distance when the talented Turgay Şeren managed to make a qualified save. Golden Generation's players were relieved. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huang Rong in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Huang Rong in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. Golden Generation's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ulises Dimas in the 37th minute. Axel Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Turgay Şeren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. Turgay Şeren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Golden Generation's Elivélton Cunha was substituted for Huang Rong. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elivélton Cunha to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elivélton Cunha in the 56th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Axel Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Turgay Şeren was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Golden Generation's Pedro Manzanares threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elivélton Cunha, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elivélton Cunha in the 83rd minute of play. Golden Generation's Elivélton Cunha was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 84th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elivélton Cunha's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Elivélton Cunha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-5. Golden Generation's Elivélton Cunha was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 98th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Golden Generation walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
