Nurtekin Üner made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chesney Nicholson in the 4th minute of play. Chile's Mariano Lacasa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 5th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nurtekin Üner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 21st minute. In the 26th minute, Mariano Lacasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naci Kaynak in the 29th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in MERT FC's zone, Mariano Lacasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nurtekin Üner came out of the goal and Mariano Lacasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. MERT FC's Nurtekin Üner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save MERT FC from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the match, MERT FC's goalkeeper Nurtekin Üner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. 41 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nurtekin Üner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind MERT FC's goalkeeper Nurtekin Üner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Nurtekin Üner managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Chile's Mariano Lacasa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chesney Nicholson was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in MERT FC's zone, Mariano Lacasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nurtekin Üner came out of the goal and Mariano Lacasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nurtekin Üner. Nurtekin Üner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nurtekin Üner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. MERT FC made a substitution. Batıray İpekçi replaced Günay Doğanay. Sakut Şanlı hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Alan Tamayo hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute of the match Ahmet Orhan Kutulmuş shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Pliego showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 84th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Carballar to maneuver through the defense. Naci Kaynak took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Chile fully deserved thier win.
