The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Victor Rameriz in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Rameriz having to interfere. In the 15th minute Tadeo Jenaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Jenaro came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. DonLoli fc's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Penko Lambovski in the 17th minute. The corner ended in Zeledon Florian almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. After 22 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Luis Andino advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-0 in the 28th minute. 32 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victor Rameriz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Rameriz having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, DonLoli fc's goalkeeper Victor Rameriz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. 38 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Jenaro came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of DonLoli fc booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Cieslak in the 48th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tadeo Jenaro to make the kick off. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 52nd minute Tadeo Jenaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho scored 4-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victor Rameriz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, DonLoli fc's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edgardo Ceandro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Rameriz having to interfere. Edgardo Ceandro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Victor Rameriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After 74 minutes, Lino Argenis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DonLoli fc and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Penko Lambovski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Rameriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 85th minute of play. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Rameriz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Tadeo Jenaro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tadeo Jenaro really showed his touch with that goal: 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ecuador fully deserved thier win.
