Lorenzo Yepes kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Oriol came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Fernandino made a kick off. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Joshua Curbelo got a free kick in the 54th minute. A hard shot by Gabriel Milian from long distance, 55 minutes into the match, got Ricardo Zorita's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Eliseo Oriol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Rafe, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Salvador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wilfredo Navarro was slow to take the kick. During this time CA La Chola's players had a chance to rest. Wilfredo Navarro made a great header on CA La Chola's corner, it was just that El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Valentino Ferrant hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aquilino Rafe during the 67th minute. Valentino Ferrant's late challenge caught a CA La Chola's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentino Ferrant helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant got a free kick in the 93rd minute. El Salvador's Abram Luque got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliseo Oriol took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6.
