In the 12th match minute, Filial Los Canarios was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Venceslao to maneuver through the defense. Ubaldo Fillol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Filial Los Canarios's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ubaldo Fillol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Fillol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ubaldo Fillol saved Filial Los Canarios from getting behind. Gonzalo Errando's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonzalo Errando in the 33rd minute. Ubaldo Fillol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Ubaldo Fillol made a huge save. In the 65th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Fillol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Socorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. If Gonzalo Errando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ubaldo Fillol was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Ubaldo Fillol made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute, Arsenio Rudolfo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Filial Los Canarios's Ubaldo Fillol got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Julian Socorro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Julian Socorro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ubaldo Fillol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ubaldo Fillol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 89th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fermin Sein kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
