Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amadeo Venceslao kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Jacinto Kimetz made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Filial Los Canarios getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Amadeo Venceslao hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Marcelino Formerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Marcelino Formerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacinto Kimetz was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Joel Gaona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel Gaona really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Quiroga in the 38th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Jacinto Kimetz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Filial Los Canarios's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Luca Rouco heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 43rd minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacinto Kimetz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Amadeo Venceslao kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. After 55 played minutes Filial Los Canarios got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Sein. Jacinto Kimetz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luca Zorita went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julian Socorro during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mexico booed when Filial Los Canarios was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Socorro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacinto Kimetz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After 61 played minutes Filial Los Canarios got a freekick which was hit by Toralf Walther. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Kimetz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Filial Los Canarios's Amadeo Venceslao got a free kick in the 76th minute. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Formerio in the 80th minute of the match. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the match, Filial Los Canarios's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Jacinto Kimetz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
