Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobiasz Rostow in the 26th minute of play. Nicolae Ceaușescu was a little too slow when Axel Montenegro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-1. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 43rd minute. The corner led Colombia's Axel Montenegro to fire away a dangerous shot which Nicolae Ceaușescu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Master Champion BMX Flat's Nicolae Ceaușescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Master Champion BMX Flat from getting a goal against them. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tobiasz Rostow to make the kick off. Nicolae Ceaușescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santino Seco in the 51st minute of the match. After 77 minutes Master Champion BMX Flat's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kevin Mastache who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Ignacio Mastache heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 80th minute, Lev Shershun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Master Champion BMX Flat's Nicolae Ceaușescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Secada in the 82nd minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Master Champion BMX Flat's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Secada came free, but Nicolae Ceaușescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
