An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk Ijksma in the 4th minute of play forced Império's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dráusio Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Império's Ediberto Pontes fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 12 minutes into the match, Império's goal looked a bit too open when Henk Ijksma came free, but Luís Paulo Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Dráusio Ortiz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gert van der Werff to make any attempt to save it. Henk Ijksma kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 19 minutes, Umberto Marinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Império and the Hellcity Redstars F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luís Paulo Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henk Ijksma in the 20th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Hellcity Redstars F.C's Andreas van Nieuwstadt got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Dráusio Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Hellcity Redstars F.C defense, Júlio Donatello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gert van der Werff. The Hellcity Redstars F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gert van der Werff should have stopped the shot. Harold Wekenburg's late challenge caught a Império's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harold Wekenburg helped the player get up and apologised. After 30 played minutes Hellcity Redstars F.C got a freekick which was hit by Harold Wekenburg. Luís Paulo Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damien Luirink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gert van der Werff made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Ediberto Pontes sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Hellcity Redstars F.C defense, Júlio Donatello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gert van der Werff. The Hellcity Redstars F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gert van der Werff should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute, Júlio Donatello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Império fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Adriaan Ricksen made the kick off in the second half. Império's Umberto Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 52nd minute, Adriaan Ricksen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, Damien Luirink fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 59th minute, Umberto Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Dráusio Ortiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gert van der Werff was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Dráusio Ortiz struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Gert van der Werff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Império. After 67 played minutes Império got a freekick which was hit by Umberto Marinho. Umberto Marinho was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 69th minute, Umberto Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriaan Ricksen in the 70th minute of play forced Império's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Dráusio Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Império's supporters rose to their feet, but Dráusio Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gert van der Werff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adriaan Ricksen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Paulo Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henk Ijksma, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Império's Luís Paulo Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriaan Ricksen in the 89th minute of play. Júlio Donatello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gert van der Werff read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Damien Luirink managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hellcity Redstars F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damien Luirink was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Império were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hellcity Redstars F.C for a fine match.
