In the 4th minute, Edu Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th match minute, Hellcity Redstars F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucien Jongsma to maneuver through the defense. If Cristiano Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Gigante da Colina's Juan Arruda got control of the ball when Damien Luirink tried to sneak it across the goal line. Juan Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falco Tieleman in the 14th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredão Brasil during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 18 minutes into the match, Gigante da Colina's goal looked a bit too open when Adriaan Ricksen came free, but Juan Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damien Luirink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Arruda having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Gigante da Colina's Cristiano Nogueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gert van der Werff narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriaan Ricksen in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Arruda saved Gigante da Colina from getting behind. With 36 minutes on the clock, Claudinho Salles commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 36 minutes into the game, one of Gigante da Colina:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Juan Arruda had in the 38thth minute some difficulties stopping Alwin Batum's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Nelson de Lara's late challenge caught a Hellcity Redstars F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nelson de Lara helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Nelson de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the game, Eriberto Leme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gert van der Werff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Hellcity Redstars F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gigante da Colina were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adriaan Ricksen made a kick off. After some careless play in the Gigante da Colina defense, Henk Ijksma kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Arruda. The Gigante da Colina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Arruda should have stopped the shot. Eriberto Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gert van der Werff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eriberto Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd play minute Eriberto Leme came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gert van der Werff. 1-3. After a rather tough play, Hellcity Redstars F.C's Alwin Batum got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 69 played minutes Gigante da Colina got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Leme. Juan Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damien Luirink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Eriberto Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Iuri Queirós reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gert van der Werff. The goal made the score 1-5. Juan Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriaan Ricksen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Damien Luirink shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gert van der Werff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eriberto Leme in the 87th minute. Adriaan Ricksen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Hellcity Redstars F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falco Tieleman to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the game, Hellcity Redstars F.C's Henk Ijksma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Arruda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. The Gigante da Colina supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gigante da Colina would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
