The referee ignored Império's protests and gave Osvaldinho Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. Osvaldinho Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Império's zone, Albino Jurdan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Paulo Garcia came out of the goal and Albino Jurdan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Paulo Garcia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albino Jurdan went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 12th minute, Angelino Ramone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, Ediberto Pontes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberto Txurio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 19th minute Albino Jurdan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albino Jurdan scored 1-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Paulo Garcia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Império's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Tebaldo came free, but Luís Paulo Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ediberto Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Albino Jurdan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saul Hurko's late challenge caught a Império's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saul Hurko helped the player get up and apologised. Saul Hurko hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Ediberto Pontes did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Alberto Txurio 33 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ediberto Pontes in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Txurio saved Billinghurst FC from getting behind. Dráusio Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Chicão Diniz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 54 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Império:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Billinghurst FC:s goal. The referee gave Billinghurst FC a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gaspar Ederono, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Império's Luís Paulo Garcia. 2-3. When Carlos Tebaldo came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Billinghurst FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Tebaldo couldn't finish the play. Alberto Txurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Donatello in the 63rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelino Ramone got free with Luís Paulo Garcia in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luís Paulo Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Jurdan in the 66th minute of play. Albino Jurdan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 67th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Dráusio Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Império getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Júlio Donatello hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Lázaro Guib hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Txurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráusio Ortiz in the 77th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Billinghurst FC got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Ramone. Alberto Txurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Carlos Tebaldo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Billinghurst FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Dráusio Ortiz scored 3-4 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alberto Txurio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 93 played minutes Império got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Moura. Júlio Donatello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Alberto Txurio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Billinghurst FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
