Marcos Fantini spun around in front of the goal 52 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Jenipapo SC's goal. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Dale Dolar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. David Seaman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Dolar came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Marcos Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Seaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Seaman having to interfere. Aníbal Alagoano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Patricio Ugutz made a huge save. If Jorge Carrascal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Carlos-Henrique Casemiro was substituted for Tião Paraíba. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Luisinho Uribe was substituted for Dale Dolar. After some careless play in the Jenipapo SC defense, Jorge Carrascal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Seaman. The Jenipapo SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Seaman should have stopped the shot. 89 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Carrascal came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
