In the 14th minute Alvaro Errando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 minutes New England Minas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. Jeremy Nicholas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 30 minutes into the match, AC LeX Luthor's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Silva came free, but Maurício Bomba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremy Nicholas came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by AC LeX Luthor's Carlos Alberto Marquez. But to his dismay, Carlos Alberto Marquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Jeremy Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on AC LeX Luthor's corner Pancho Branca fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jeremy Nicholas quite easily take care of the ball. Jeremy Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Marquez in the 42nd minute of play. Edgardo Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgardo Silva to strike the kick off in the second half. Maurício Bomba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maurício Bomba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgardo Silva's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. 88 minutes into the game, Peep Pronk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Jeremy Nicholas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. New England Minas's Arturo Sito was substituted for Tio Lio. After 94 minutes, Peep Pronk made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The AC LeX Luthor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AC LeX Luthor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
