Attilio Fiordelisi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ştefan Magheran in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, FC Mims's goal looked a bit too open when Lionel-Andrés Messi came free, but Attilio Fiordelisi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frits van Gaal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Attilio Fiordelisi came out and tried to block the shot, but Frits van Gaal slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 14th minute. Attilio Fiordelisi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 18th minute of play forced FC Mims's goalkeeper Attilio Fiordelisi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gugu Netto replaced Pasha Opara. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damiano Strazzabosco to strike the kick off in the second half. Attilio Fiordelisi came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Ştefan Magheran. But to his dismay, Ştefan Magheran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Attilio Fiordelisi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Magheran, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Ştefan Magheran took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Attilio Fiordelisi. Attilio Fiordelisi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. FC Mims's Flavio Di Matteo was substituted for Elia Panella. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Inácio Ponta was substituted for Juvenal Antunes. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ştefan Magheran in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Attilio Fiordelisi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ştefan Magheran struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Attilio Fiordelisi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E. Pindorama Eagles. S.E. Pindorama Eagles made a substitution. Luis Vasquez replaced Ştefan Magheran. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 73rd minute. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Lionel-Andrés Messi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Attilio Fiordelisi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. FC Mims's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Vasquez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. The throw-in from Enrico Improta in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Frits van Gaal. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Frits van Gaal quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Enrico Improta, made in the 96th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Vasquez in the 97th minute of play forced FC Mims's goalkeeper Attilio Fiordelisi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
