Jo Øverås made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Silva in the 3rd minute of play. Ye Gang Cheng made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Daustad's Celestino Poncio. Jo Øverås showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Silva in the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Daustad's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Silva came free, but Jo Øverås reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daustad were furious when Sigurd Storhaug was red carded, 19 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When the match had been going on for 21 minutes, New England Minas's Edgardo Silva got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jo Øverås. Jeremy Nicholas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Bonet in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Luis Bonet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by New England Minas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Peng Song Ting was slow to take the kick. During this time Daustad's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Peng Song Ting got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jeremy Nicholas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luis Bonet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jeremy Nicholas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jo Øverås took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. New England Minas's Tony Pacheco got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daustad's Kevin Bernini was substituted for Alberigo Mancini. After a rather tough play, New England Minas's António Nóbrega got a free kick in the 40th minute. When Daustad's Luis Bonet in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye New England Minas's goalie prevented a goal. Jeremy Nicholas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Bonet's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luis Bonet was the one to do the kick off. Luis Bonet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremy Nicholas having to interfere. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Bonet, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Celestino Poncio made in the 61st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Are Rygg. Jo Øverås came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by New England Minas's Tony Pacheco. But to his dismay, Tony Pacheco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. New England Minas made a substitution. Zachery Church replaced Ye Gang Cheng. After 81 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Tio Lio. New England Minas made a substitution. Arturo Sito replaced Edgardo Silva. In the 83rd minute Luis Bonet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Daustad's goalkeeper Jo Øverås, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. António Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The New England Minas support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
