Maurício Bomba came out of the goal and Geovanildo Luis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Francisco Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvaro Errando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Haji Sarap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Alberto Marquez in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Haji Sarap saved Joinville City - FSCMZ from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Carlos Alberto Marquez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Haji Sarap was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Joinville City - FSCMZ's zone, Peep Pronk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haji Sarap came out of the goal and Peep Pronk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AC LeX Luthor fully deserved thier win.
