Ivan Drago was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th minute, Edgardo Silva made a precise shot to the right of Ivan Drago. Lost Boys Sports Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Silva in the 30th minute of play forced Lost Boys Sports Academy's goalkeeper Ivan Drago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pepe Argento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremy Nicholas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 44th match minute, New England Minas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. Jeremy Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pepe Argento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Xiao Bang Kun fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New England Minas's protests and gave Xiao Bang Kun a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to New England Minas getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Xiao Bang Kun hit a great ball. Jeremy Nicholas came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Lost Boys Sports Academy's Pepe Argento. But to his dismay, Pepe Argento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pepe Argento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lost Boys Sports Academy's goalkeeper Ivan Drago, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57th minute New England Minas were awarded a corner. Glen Conklin went to the cornerflag to take it. Pepe Argento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeremy Nicholas having to make a save. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pepe Argento, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 67 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Pepe Argento came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremy Nicholas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pepe Argento's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Ivan Drago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgardo Silva in the 87th minute. Lost Boys Sports Academy made a substitution. Hu Cheng replaced Marcelo Xabat. Lost Boys Sports Academy made a substitution. Coronel Llorente replaced Ludwig Modig. New England Minas's Arturo Sito was substituted for Tony Pacheco. New England Minas were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Lost Boys Sports Academy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ivan Drago made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched New England Minas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
