Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvio Ortle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Conakry FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Patricio Costa heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 13th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Marian Czekaj tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute, Fernan Pierres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Conakry FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Marian Czekaj hit a great ball. Silvio Ortle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 26th minute of play. Marian Czekaj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Conakry FC's Mike Padgett managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Salvador Gisbert in the 32 minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Jefferson Terra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. After 37 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fernan Pierres who took care of the corner kick. Mike Padgett made a great header on Conakry FC's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Mike Padgett got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-0. A sloppy throw-in by Salvador Gisbert in the 42nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Conakry FC's Fernan Pierres. Thanks to some nice moves Jefferson Terra could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Conakry FC's Silvio Ortle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 55th minute of play. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Conakry FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. Venezuela's Jose Correa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Silvio Ortle in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Kelly Hawkins came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Conakry FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kelly Hawkins couldn't finish the play. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Terra came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 66 minutes into the game, Conakry FC's Jefferson Terra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Conakry FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Patricio Costa scored to the left of an out of position Silvio Ortle, making the score, 3-1. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Jefferson Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Conakry FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jefferson Terra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Marian Czekaj stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Marian Czekaj tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Czekaj, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the game, Conakry FC's Cyrus Bradley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Marian Czekaj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Cyrus Bradley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Conakry FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
