Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Massa having to interfere. João Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 31st minute of play forced UFC STEAUA's goalkeeper João Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Mugur Basarabescu hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. João Massa was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Felix Montenegro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and João Massa could save by the left post. UFC STEAUA's attack was well implemented in the 93rd minute, but when Nelson Mendoza was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick.
