The supporters of Club Atletico Rio Tercero booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Alejandro Jerrald scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 1-0. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alejandro Jerralds short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jacobo Mark was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atletico Rio Tercero's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Marcelo Eladio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. 35 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Cipriano Joachim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. A throw-in in the 39th minute of the game was made by Donato Reyes with Alejandro Jerrald as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Jacobo Mark slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-0 after 42 minutes of play. Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Jacobo Mark shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 46th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jonathan Ferrant but with some difficulty. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Fred Karlsson made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Club Atletico Rio Tercero fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Alejandro Jerrald looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Alvar Öberg in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Fred Karlsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Joachim in the 65th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alejandro Jerrald recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Club Atletico Rio Tercero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Karlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Alvar Öberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. 83 minutes into the game, Jacobo Mark cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Arnas in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute Jacobo Mark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th match minute, Club Atletico Rio Tercero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Joachim to maneuver through the defense.
