Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Nelsinho Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelsinho Leite came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Tomas Illescas fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Tomas Illescas a yellow card for diving instead. João Pirani took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 19 minutes, Patricio Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Vascogoianiense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 26th minute João Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. João Pirani scored 2-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, João Pirani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Pirani got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 40th minute of play. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Vascogoianiense FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. In the 43rd minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pirani in the 44th minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Aírton Sousa put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant.

João Pirani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, João Pirani made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After 62 minutes, Edmílson Fernandez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vascogoianiense FC and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Edmílson Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nelsinho Leite, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 66 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when João Pirani came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilmar Monteiro went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Patricio Costa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 74th minute. Venezuela's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 79 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Patricio Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nelsinho Leite narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Monteiro in the 83rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. João Pirani struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vascogoianiense FC.
