Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mariano Lacasa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of C.A.Independiente booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tom Misaki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Buford Lim. C.A.Independiente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The corner led C.A.Independiente's Ambrosio Ovando to fire away a dangerous shot which Thiago Pliego despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Buford Lim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute Heigo Luiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Buford Lim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 33rd minute. In the 38th minute, Tom Misaki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardino Gonsalve hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute of the match Gavril Bosioc sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Pliego skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Buford Lim in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Buford Lim was a little too slow when Mariano Lacasa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tom Misaki made the kick off in the second half. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Buford Lim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Buford Lim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. C.A.Independiente's Buford Lim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Buford Lim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, C.A.Independiente's Heigo Luiga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Buford Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 66th minute of the match. C.A.Independiente's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. With an all-out effort, C.A.Independiente's Thiago Pliego threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Heigo Luiga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Chile were furious when Alan Tamayo was red carded, 86 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. C.A.Independiente made a substitution. Quentin Holman replaced Ambrosio Ovando. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chile fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty!
