An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 30th minute of play forced Sentimiento Auriazul's goalkeeper Mihail Stroia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sentimiento Auriazul getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Maximiliano Bustos hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Sentimiento Auriazul's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Mihail Stroia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Sentimiento Auriazul's Mihail Stroia got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sentimiento Auriazul's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Fidanza in the 44th minute of play. Mihail Stroia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernando Fidanza was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Sentimiento Auriazul defense, Luca Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mihail Stroia. The Sentimiento Auriazul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mihail Stroia should have stopped the shot. Bob Hinkler kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sentimiento Auriazul's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihail Stroia came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Fernando Fidanza sent off a good shot on target. Luisito Behe was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 82nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Camilo Cristofol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 86th minute of play forced Sentimiento Auriazul's goalkeeper Mihail Stroia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Alberto Tafalla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mihail Stroia was relentless in the 89th minute of the game.
