Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edmundo Espiga kicked off to start the match. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lourenço Gama in the 9th minute of play. Reinaldo Azeredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 11th minute of the match. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Folga's goalie prevented a goal. Sebastian Villa struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Reinaldo Azeredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Edmundo Espiga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reinaldo Azeredo having to make a save. Ivan Navarro charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Navarro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Folga's Jorge Veríssimo was substituted for Manuel Caldeira. In a very dangerous position, a player in Honduras fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! Porfírio Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Folga's Jorge Veríssimo. But to his dismay, Jorge Veríssimo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. A collision led to Folga getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Manuel Ribas hit a great ball. Abdelaziz Lamine Kab hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Honduras's Sebastian Villa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 43rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Lourenço Gama managed to get in a good position for a shot. Folga's supporters rose to their feet, but Lourenço Gama was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Folga's goalkeeper Reinaldo Azeredo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Honduras booed when Folga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Șerban Ionescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lourenço Gama. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Azeredo having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Porfírio Araújo. After having played for 66 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Veríssimo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Milagros Cabal kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tarcísio Esparteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Edmundo Espiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reinaldo Azeredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Reinaldo Azeredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 88th minute of the match. After 89 minutes Folga's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edmundo Espiga who took care of the corner kick. Reinaldo Azeredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Edmundo Espiga made a precise shot to the right of Reinaldo Azeredo. Folga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. There was no doubt that Honduras were the better team. Honduras's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
