Edmundo Espiga kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Paulino Eguerdi in the 28th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Luca Espinar. Paulino Eguerdi made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Sebastian Villa. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albino Inguma was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadeo Ederono in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Emanuel Ocampo got a free kick in the 47th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Jose Rosario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Jose Rosario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Paunero were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tadeo Ederono made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Jose Rosario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Jose Rosario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute, Christian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Honduras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 62 minutes of play, Paunero's Tadeo Ederono made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Paunero were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Honduras's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jose Rosario took the corner. Lautaro Navarro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tadeo Ederono showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 72 minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Paunero's Tadeo Ederono ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Aristide Iureș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Ederono came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ata Cante kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeo Ederono in the 92nd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Ederono came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Tadeo Ederono had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tadeo Ederono was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6.
