Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Berganza started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Elpidio Tipi hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Consejo del Mate's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Inautzi came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardo Inautzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Consejo del Mate's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Alguacil was slow to take the kick. During this time Panama's players had a chance to rest. Elpidio Tipi kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Alguacil got free with Bernardo Inautzi in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Tipi came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Berganza might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernardo Inautzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Berganza ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Abreu in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Berganza got free with Bernardo Inautzi in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Consejo del Mate's Bernardo Inautzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 35th minute of play. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Consejo del Mate:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Panama:s goal. In the 40th minute, the referee gave Panama a penalty. Abraham Alguacil looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Bernardo Inautzi. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Elpidio Tipi made the kick off in the second half. Aaron Barrios hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Emiliano Abreu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcos Cotilla firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 55 minutes Panama's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Teodoro Criston who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Teodoro Criston almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla did a great save. Isidoro Sarmiento took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardo Inautzi. Bernardo Inautzi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Isidoro Sarmiento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Inautzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Miguel Frechoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Consejo del Mate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. The supporters of Panama booed when Consejo del Mate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Frechoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute Federico Azubeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panama were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Consejo del Mate's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Alguacil took the corner. The corner ended in Abraham Alguacil almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Consejo del Mate's Bernardo Inautzi did a great save. After 72 minutes, Miguel Miralles made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Consejo del Mate's Bernardo Inautzi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 74th minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Bernardo Inautzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Tipi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Barrios. A collision led to Consejo del Mate getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Miguel Frechoso hit a great ball. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Tipi in the 86th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Panama's Alex Cambeiro got a free kick in the 87th minute. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute of the match Panama got a corner. Consejo del Mate's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. 96 minutes into the game, Teofilo Benet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Consejo del Mate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. After having played for 97 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
