An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 37th minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Bernardo Inautzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85thth minute of the game Francisco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Consejo del Mate's Bernardo Inautzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Uruguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
