Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. The throw-in from Simon Diaz in the 6th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lazaros Kabantais saved Los Materos FC from getting behind. Lazaros Kabantais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 12th minute of play. Braulio Milian made a great header on Los Materos FC's corner, it was just that Peru's Rolando Noboa managed to reach the ball for a save. Tincho Palermo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 32 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Milian came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Molina in the 35th minute of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tincho Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Los Materos FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Braulio Milian hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Los Materos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Lazaros Kabantais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Simon Diaz made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. Emmanuel Reyes kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lazaros Kabantais was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Materos FC's goalkeeper Lazaros Kabantais, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 79 minutes into the game, Horacio Abajas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 83 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. In the 88th minute of the match Los Materos FC got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Horacio Abajas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Horacio Abajas made a great header on Los Materos FC's corner, it was just that Peru's Rolando Noboa managed to reach the ball for a save. Lazaros Kabantais came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Rafael Gallo. But to his dismay, Rafael Gallo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Gallo in the 93rd minute of play forced Los Materos FC's goalkeeper Lazaros Kabantais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Rafael Gallo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lazaros Kabantais. Los Materos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Gallo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1.
