Gigel Uncheşu made in the 12th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Rareș Vanghelie immediately put the ball in play. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex Cunea in the 17th minute. The nice shot from Alex Cunea in the 27thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Jonathan Ferrant had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 31st minute, Gigel Uncheşu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Rasnita's Alex Cunea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Sebastian Toacsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Sebastian Toacsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Rasnita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Toacsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gigel Uncheşu hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Sebastian Toacsen notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 67th minute Alex Cunea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 played minutes Rasnita got a freekick which was hit by Gigel Uncheşu. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Sebastian Toacsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th match minute, Rasnita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigel Uncheşu to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rasnita's goalkeeper Flavius Ferenț, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd match minute, Rasnita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigel Uncheşu to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
