An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Nuñez in the 12th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Godfredo Nuñez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Godfredo Nuñez might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thiago Pliego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Godfredo Nuñez ran back to his position shaking his head. After 19 played minutes C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo got a freekick which was hit by Justo Dalmai. Thiago Pliego stood somewhat misplaced when Godfredo Nuñez came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 22 minute. Thiago Pliego was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Godfredo Nuñez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Godfredo Nuñez really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. After 28 minutes Chile's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Erasmo Jago who took care of the corner kick. Gavino Iturri made a great header on C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's corner, it was just that Chile's Thiago Pliego managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dawid Serwacki in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Serafin Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 30th minute of the match. Justo Dalmai kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 36 minutes into the game, Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafin Bernal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 43rd minute Dawid Serwacki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Serafin Bernal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Dawid Serwacki got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Godfredo Nuñez made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Serafin Bernal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo from getting a goal against them. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Gavino Iturri quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guillermo Fontirroig, made in the 63rd minute of the game. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Negro in the 64th minute of play. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Teofilo Oxarra in the 65th minute. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Nikola in the 70th minute of play. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Nikola in the 75th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Wilfredo Nikola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafin Bernal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Nikola in the 92nd minute of play. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Negro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aureliano Negro took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chile players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo.
