Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 梅宇卫, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 38thth minute of the game 梅宇卫 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when 天下常熟 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jozef Limpens didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, 梅宇卫 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by 天下常熟's 梅宇卫. But to his dismay, 梅宇卫 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 80th minute, 梅宇卫 made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After having played for 85 minutes, 梅宇卫 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 天下常熟's supporters crossed their fingers, but 梅宇卫 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 梅宇卫, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 吕洋鹏 having to interfere. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Patric Linqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. When the match was over 天下常熟 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Venezuela throughout the match.
