Tahsin Atacan scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 13th minute, Axel Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gordon Horgan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Bradner McCready could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Artuir Ramsey sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 30th minute of play forced COPERNICUS TORUŃ's goalkeeper Gordon Horgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of COPERNICUS TORUŃ's goalie and right to Pascual Carballar. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. COPERNICUS TORUŃ's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tahsin Atacan made a kick off. A collision led to COPERNICUS TORUŃ getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Tahsin Atacan hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gordon Horgan. COPERNICUS TORUŃ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 57 minutes into the game, Santino Seco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colombia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave COPERNICUS TORUŃ the free kick. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Brion Murphy came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute Ignacio Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gordon Horgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Carballar. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Gordon Horgan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olgun Oktay, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
