The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baldemer Sevilla was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. 15 minutes into the game, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baldemer Sevilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After having played for 18 minutes, Eloy Idiaquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aysouraguán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eloy Idiaquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esteban Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Baldemer Sevilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Honduras booed when Aysouraguán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurin Martinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Aysouraguán's Maurin Martinez got a free kick in the 34th minute. Baldemer Sevilla was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Edmundo Espiga. Baldemer Sevilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 37th minute of play. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmundo Espiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Baldemer Sevilla made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eloy Idiaquez to make the kick off. Iban Abancens hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Isauro Sobrado made in the 55th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Samuel Negro however managed to control. 56 minutes into the game, Maurin Martinez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aysouraguán's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. The supporters of Honduras booed when Aysouraguán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurin Martinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aysouraguán's Baldemer Sevilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aysouraguán's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edmundo Espiga was slow to take the kick. During this time Honduras's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Honduras's corner Edmundo Espiga fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Baldemer Sevilla quite easily take care of the ball. When Moises Tafalla got free in front of the goal in the 59th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Baldemer Sevilla was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Iban Abancens kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Baldemer Sevilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moises Tafalla went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Moises Tafalla hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldemer Sevilla saved Aysouraguán from getting behind. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Aysouraguán getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Iban Abancens hit a great ball. After 70 minutes of play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baldemer Sevilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Honduras's Sebastian Villa in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aysouraguán's goalie prevented a goal. Edmundo Espiga took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baldemer Sevilla. Baldemer Sevilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Baldemer Sevilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Navarro kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldemer Sevilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Honduras players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
