Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dan Dalman took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. Victorio Cordarryl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Oihan to maneuver through the defense. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorio Cordarryl having to interfere. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led to Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's Victorio Cordarryl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 26th minute of play. Victorio Cordarryl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Austin. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Narciso Xabat fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 36 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victorio Cordarryl made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's goalkeeper Victorio Cordarryl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Feliciano Oto kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Agustín Saelices blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victorio Cordarryl having to make a save. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 61st playminute. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victorio Cordarryl. Victorio Cordarryl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Dalman in the 75th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorio Cordarryl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustín Saelices in the 78th minute. Victorio Cordarryl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorio Cordarryl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the match, ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's goalkeeper Victorio Cordarryl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Victorio Cordarryl in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Dalman in the 95th minute of play.
